Arcona is a beauty products company that is based in Los Angeles and that was founded in 1989. Arcona was founded to provide various products and treatments for people all over the world and to offer great anti-aging alternatives that don’t require any surgical procedures. The official website claims that the key to Arcona products is how they utilize their active ingredients, such as amino acids and enzymes, to work perfectly together to provide powerful formulas.

Arcona products don’t use petrochemicals and don’t contain any types of pore clogging ingredients such as dyes, sulfates, and parabens. These artificial ingredients can irritate the skin and actually cause more damage than the aging elements that they are trying to correct. Arcona pushes its “Basic Five” line, which is intended to be used before using any other combination of Arcona products. The Basic Five claims to strengthen your skin and increase its cell renewal rate, which will lead to a higher production of elastin and collagen. These are both elements that contribute to the appearance of young, fresh skin.

Product Details

Arcona products cover a fairly wide range of skin conditions such as acne products, exfoliators, cleansers, and serums. We will focus on a few of the Arcona anti-aging products to see what they have to offer. Some of the ones that stand out are the Peptide Firming Complex, which uses various peptides to help encourage the body’s production of collagen and elastin and moisturizes with hyaluronic acid. The Youth Serum contains Vitamin C and magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, which will help defend your skin against free radicals and encourage collagen and elastin production as well.

The official website doesn’t seem to list all of the ingredients in all of Arcona’s products, but it does give a small paragraph describing what these products are supposed to do and it gives hints on some of the active ingredients and their role in the different Arcona formulas.

The Good

  • Many Arcona products contain well known moisturizers such as hyaluronic acid.
  • Arcona products have been featured in many women’s magazines such as Glamour and Allure over the years.

2

The Bad

  • Very expensive. Products range from $40.00 to $200.00 on the official website.
  • There are no testimonials or clinical trial data available on Arcona products via the manufacturer’s own website.
  • Arcona products seem to be missing potent, cutting-edge wrinkle fighters such as Matrixyl 3000.

The Bottom Line

Arcona covers a very large range of products that are easily accessed from their official website. This enables customers to take care of many different skin care options without having to spend time searching the Internet for separate products, which is nice. The problem with the Arcona line is that the products seem very expensive and they don’t contain some of the more popular anti-aging ingredients that similar products contain. We would suggest sticking to a product that has more focused anti-aging ingredients so you can have a one step solution.

After looking at so many anti-aging treatments, we've seen that the delicate skin around the eyes can be a real problem area for many people. Dark circles can make you look years older, and for some people even a good night's sleep won't make them go away.
