The first thing you need to consider when shopping around for skin care products is your age. This will give you some guidance on where to look, and what factors to keep in mind. Take Anew Platinum from Avon, for instance. This is a skin care treatment that is specifically marketed toward women ages 60 and up.
As with many other topical anti-aging treatments, Anew Platinum endeavors to lift and firm the user’s facial skin. Deep wrinkles should be reduced, and fine lines around the eyes should be minimized. Some of the ingredients found in this topical treatment are Dimethicone, Isohexadecane, Thiazolylalanine, Isododecane, Glycerin, and Maltodextrin.
Product Details
Anew Platinum is a topical skin care product brought to you by Avon, a brand that has stood the test of time. This treatment comes in both a serum and a night cream. It can be acquired through Avon dealers or the official website for a price of $64. The core active ingredient found in Anew Platinum night cream and face serum is Paxillin, which is essentially a protein that plays a key role in encouraging youthful skin cell production. This primary component is claimed to assist by reducing the amount of aging skin cells, and restoring the full shape of youthful skin cells. Paxillium Technology is touted as a breakthrough for anti-aging skin care. It is patented by Avon, and aims to help women recapture their youthful facial contours. Anew Platinum serum and night cream are directed to be used morning and night in order for best results. According to the official Avon website, 83 percent of women that tested this product saw an improvement in the contours of their face and neck.
The Good
- Anew Platinum is easy to acquire through the official website.
- This is a brand that has been around for decades, which some women may appreciate.
The Bad
- The cost of Anew Platinum is not very inexpensive at $64 per ounce.
- There are no consumer reviews offered to support this facial treatment (not at the time of this review).
- Some women may have negative reactions to certain ingredients found in Anew Platinum, such as skin irritations.
- This topical serum/cream is really only suitable for women age 60 and older.
The Bottom Line
All in all, Anew Platinum seems very similar to many other anti-aging or anti-wrinkle creams on the market today. While it is nice to see that this product comes with a new Paxillium Technology to potentially restore youth, it is important to keep in mind that most other anti-aging products come with some sort of key active ingredients as well. Considering that there are no positive reviews posted for Anew Platinum, and it sells for $64 an ounce, you may want to consider some of the other available options for anti-aging and daily skin care.

I bought the cream on holiday and do not have the instructions. I have both the cream and the serum. Can you tell me which one to use first and how often. Cheers Cathy. I am 67 and usually use Clarins serum and cream.

I have used this for almost two yrs! I’m almost 53 and it’s one of the best products I have ever used. You can get it less expensively thru Ebay…FYI. I HIGHLY suggest trying the TRIAL SZ thru ur avon dealer initially just in case u have a reaction. She’ll gladly take it all back if u aren’t happy with ur results and there are trial sz sales all the time. This way u don’t have to hunt down your refunds from Cindy Crawford or go thru ur CC company becoz u got spammed. If you’re younger, you may want to try one of the ultimate or reveralist lines. Either way, u have nothing to lose —except your wrinkles/spots. TRY THIS! (and no, I am not an Avon dealer!)

This is the best anti wrinkle cream I’ve ever used. Im 51, and use the day, night, serum and avon clinical cleanser and peel. My face and neck are so smooth, people think I’m in my early 40′s. I’ve recently purchased the reversalist night cream. I’ve used many expensive creams from department stores, and also Olay products. Nothing comes close to Avon’s products. I purchase all my Avon products on eBay for a fraction of the msrp. I’ll continue to use all if these products, in my opinion, there’s nothing better on the market today that even comes close to Avon’s technology. Thank you, I’m a forever grateful loyal customer for life.
