Anew Platinum Review

The first thing you need to consider when shopping around for skin care products is your age. This will give you some guidance on where to look, and what factors to keep in mind. Take Anew Platinum from Avon, for instance. This is a skin care treatment that is specifically marketed toward women ages 60 and up.

As with many other topical anti-aging treatments, Anew Platinum endeavors to lift and firm the user’s facial skin. Deep wrinkles should be reduced, and fine lines around the eyes should be minimized. Some of the ingredients found in this topical treatment are Dimethicone, Isohexadecane, Thiazolylalanine, Isododecane, Glycerin, and Maltodextrin.

The Bottom Line

All in all, Anew Platinum seems very similar to many other anti-aging or anti-wrinkle creams on the market today. While it is nice to see that this product comes with a new Paxillium Technology to potentially restore youth, it is important to keep in mind that most other anti-aging products come with some sort of key active ingredients as well. Considering that there are no positive reviews posted for Anew Platinum, and it sells for $64 an ounce, you may want to consider some of the other available options for anti-aging and daily skin care.

  1. I bought the cream on holiday and do not have the instructions. I have both the cream and the serum. Can you tell me which one to use first and how often. Cheers Cathy. I am 67 and usually use Clarins serum and cream.

  2. could this have a reaction to some people. i used it for 4 days on face and neck ended up
with the hives(bad case)could this be possible?

    1. I used it for the first time yesterday during the day b/c I was going to be home all day studying and I have hives all over my face and neck which showed up at 8pm. Had i used it at night, it woul have shown up duirng the day. I hope it disappears before morning.

  3. Has there been any study or review on Avon’s Anew Platinum
    that indicates it having
    any effect on facial
    nerve cells.

    1. Hiya! I don’t know if you’re still interested, but these types of facial moisturizers that are ‘over-the-counter’ are not allowed to absorb THAT deeply into your skin. I don’t know if you’re referring to the actual neurological nerves you have deep within your body and muscle tissues, or the basic feeling you get when your skin is sensitive and irritated.
But, as far as the true neurological nerves that are part of your central nervous system, the answer would be as I stated above. No consumer cream product can absorb that deeply 🙂
Can it irritate your top skin? Anything you put on your skin has that possibility…..but that depends on each person.

  4. I have used this for almost two yrs! I’m almost 53 and it’s one of the best products I have ever used. You can get it less expensively thru Ebay…FYI. I HIGHLY suggest trying the TRIAL SZ thru ur avon dealer initially just in case u have a reaction. She’ll gladly take it all back if u aren’t happy with ur results and there are trial sz sales all the time. This way u don’t have to hunt down your refunds from Cindy Crawford or go thru ur CC company becoz u got spammed. If you’re younger, you may want to try one of the ultimate or reveralist lines. Either way, u have nothing to lose —except your wrinkles/spots. TRY THIS! (and no, I am not an Avon dealer!)

  5. I recieved a jar of Platinum as a gift. I am 52 yrs old and I do have some sun damage-will this creme be ok for me? Is it very irritating?

  6. This is the best anti wrinkle cream I’ve ever used. Im 51, and use the day, night, serum and avon clinical cleanser and peel. My face and neck are so smooth, people think I’m in my early 40’s. I’ve recently purchased the reversalist night cream. I’ve used many expensive creams from department stores, and also Olay products. Nothing comes close to Avon’s products. I purchase all my Avon products on eBay for a fraction of the msrp. I’ll continue to use all if these products, in my opinion, there’s nothing better on the market today that even comes close to Avon’s technology. Thank you, I’m a forever grateful loyal customer for life.

  7. I am 61 and have tried a lot of different creams and homemade products including Avon. I bought this in the trial size two weeks ago and I love the product. I notice a real difference in my skin texture and the wrinkles around my eyes have improved 100%. I never write anything about a product but felt I had to for this one As far as cost goes u can purchase the product when it comes on sale for a whole lot less in an Avon brochures.. Eg: Camp. 12 has it at $45 for 3 products. You get the day and night cream plus the cleanser. No I am not a seller of Avon either. I’m actually a janitor.

  8. I am 29 and got the day cream free when I used to sell Avon a couple years ago. I have used about 3 jars so far and have no intention of changing. I have problematic combination skin and this cream makes the dry parts of my face perfectly baby soft and makes the oily parts calm down. There is always a fresh, soft look to my skin when I use this product, not to mention a light pleasant scent to go with it. Definitely worth the price, but it is almost always on sale.
