Overview
AlphaDerma is promoted as a complete anti-aging treatment that can give you visible results almost immediately. AlphaDerma is one of the more expensive anti-aging products out there, and one ounce costs around $55. It’s worth noting that users get a much better deal for a larger four ounce bottle at $130 with a free gift, which is a small bottle of another beauty care product from the same manufacturer. AlphaDerma CE is the most common product sold on this manufacturer’s website, but there are a few other products that are recommended to use in tandem with the anti-aging skin treatment. These are a skin prep, a vitamin C facial serum, eye serum, day cream and sunblock/ moisturizer. AlphaDerma also offers UVA/UVB protection that, the manufacturers claim, can be used no matter what type of skin you have.
AlphaDerma promises to get rid of fine lines around the eyes, forehead, and almost any other area on the face. This product was created by Janson Beckett, a beauty product manufacturer that has a solid track record in the cosmetics area. This company has been in business for over 30 years. There are some cosmetic surgeons who seem to be pretty fond of this product and recommend it to their patients.
Product Details
AlphaDerma has many ingredients that, the researchers in charge of formulating the product claim, are combined to greatly improve the cream’s effectiveness. Some of these ingredients are collagen, elastin, and argireline. These three ingredients have been shown to help relax your facial muscles while helping the skin look more full and plump. Argireline is a well-documented, patented peptide developed by a third party European lab. This peptide is currently hot stuff on the anti-aging skin care market, and the lab in question has licensed its use to several competing products. AlphaDerma’s combination of relaxing the facial muscles while tightening the skin is claimed to show an immediate effect. Another interesting ingredient in AlphaDerma is DMAE (Dimethylaminoethanol ) which may have anti-aging properties as well. However, the jury is still out on this particular ingredient.
The Good
- Free shipping from the manufacturer.
- Mostly positive customer testimonials.
The Bad
- Quite expensive compared to similar products currently on the market.
- DMAE may not be 100% safe.
- A free trial offer for first-time users does not appear to be offered.
- Other products also use the peptide argireline.
The Bottom Line
AlphaDerma is a very high-end product that seems to advertise itself as a “cure-all” for those concerned with the effects of aging on their skin. The inclusion of DMAE is questionable to use because the compound hasn't been thoroughly studied yet. Many of the main ingredients used in AlphaDerma do help you reduce the appearance of fine lines and may combat aging of the skin. Unfortunately, the price will probably turn off many people. Four ounces is $130 but there is a one ounce trial bottle for $55. Considering that there are cheaper options that make use of the same ingredients, we’ve still got a few questions about AlphaDerma.
