It is interesting to note that the product website also asserts that applying this cream to the skin just before a workout can increase perspiration and promote weight loss. It states that this technique has been used by boxers for years. We are curious, albeit skeptical, about such claims from a skin care product. However, for the purpose of this review, we will primarily focus on Albolene's statement that regular use can lead to younger looking skin.

Product Details

Albolene contains mineral oil, petrolatum paraffin, ceresin and beta-carotene. Most of these ingredients are touted as intense moisturizers, and the product website states that the high moisturizing content of this formula will prevent skin irritation and lead to younger, vibrant, healthy skin. There is no doubt that keeping skin hydrated is the first step to keeping its youthful appearance. However, there is no evidence to suggest that intense hydration is the path to a diminished appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Instead, ingredients like sodium hyaluronate, matrixyl 3000 and argireline are suggested. This product does not contain any of these proven anti-aging ingredients. Due to the high moisture content, Albolene is not recommended for use on oily skin.
