Ageless Woman
Ageless Woman is a line of skin care brought to us by the model and actress Cheryl Tiegs. According to the company website, Tiegs is the "codeveloper" of the Ageless Woman products, and is "committed to providing women with cutting edge skin care products that are safe and powerful". The company offers anti-aging and firming formulas in a wide range of products. However, the website does state that you do not have to use the entire line to see positive results; in fact, you can add just one of the products to your current skin care program if you prefer. The products have been featured in familiar women's magazines like Family Circle, Redbook and Women's Day.
The website also claims that these products are primarily for use on normal to dry skin. We suspect that these formulas may be too thick for oily skin types, and may run the risk of clogging pores. There are three different types of formulas that are touted in the products; Rejuvacell Technology, Hydrafusion Technology and AW27. We will explore each of these formulas later in this review. The company website does offer customer testimonials, before and after photos and a risk free trial offer. The trial simply states that if you don't like the product, you can return it within 30 days for a full refund less shipping and handling charges.
Product Details
Complete ingredient lists for all of the products are listed on one of the company websites. Rejuvacell is called a vino-therapeutic complex that is "the essence of the Ageless Woman skin care line". This formula uses the antioxidants found in Chardonnay grapes, which is a pretty unique approach. The AW27 is a combination of botanical ingredients that are supposed to reduce the appearance of sagging skin. While neither of these complexes seemed to use many of the proven anti-aging ingredients, some did contain soluble or hydrolized collagen and sodium hyaluronate. Collagen is a natural substance that is lost as we age, so products containing this substance are indeed effective at plumping and smoothing the skin. Sodium hyaluronate is an excellent skin hydrator that can make the skin appear smoother, softer and younger looking.
The Hydrafusion Technology contains a known anti-aging substance; acetyl hexapeptide-3. We are encouraged by the fact that this ingredient is second only to water in the formula, which may mean there is a sufficient amount in the mix to bring about desired results. Acetyl hexapeptide-3, also known as argireline, has been called “the Botox alternative” because it can effectively relax facial muscles and diminish the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
The Good
- There are a number of proven anti-aging ingredients in some of the Ageless Woman products.
- The company offers a 30-day money back guarantee and plenty of customer testimonials.
The Bad
- The proven anti-aging ingredients are spread out through a number of products, meaning that each is less effective than it could be.
- Products may not be appropriate for oily skin.
- There are many products to choose from, which can be expensive and confusing for the consumer.
The Bottom Line
Some of the products in the Ageless Woman line show significant promise in diminishing the look of lines and wrinkles and giving you younger skin. With a 30-day free trial and plenty of customer testimonials, this product might be worth a try. However, generally we prefer a product line that focuses on fewer, more potent wrinkle fighting products.
