While we are pleased to see a number of moisturizing products included in the mix, it does not appear that any are specifically geared toward anti-aging needs. For the purpose of this review, we will take a look at the Aesop Fabulous Face Oil. This product claims to hydrate dry, dull or stressed skin and is recommended for use at night before bed. The ingredients for this serum include Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Corylus Avellana (Hazel) Seed Oil, Eugenol, Geraniol, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Oil, Juniperus Communis Fruit Oil, Linalool, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis, Tocopherol, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Oil.
While the botanicals in this formula are impressive, there are no proven anti-aging substances on this list. We would urge consumers to look for patented anti-wrinkle agents such as argireline and matrixyl and effective skin hydrators like hyaluronic acid for best results. This Aesop formula does not contain anything that would lead us to believe the product will do anything to reduce the appearance of aging on the skin.
